How To Apply For BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO SCHEME

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme was started on January 22, 2015 as a joint initiative of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Human Resource Development under coordinated and convergent efforts to empower the girl child. 

Under this scheme, the government focuses on low female sex ratio in different areas. When women are educated and aware, it leads to empowerment of women.

Steps to Apply for this Scheme are: -

Opening a bank account - in the name of girl is the first basic step. 

It is necessary to comply with the rules to draw the scheme’s benefits

Age Limit - All the girls up to 10 years of age are eligible under this scheme. It is necessary to open bank account in their name.
Tax Free scheme - This welfare scheme launched by the Prime Minister has been kept completely tax-free. No amount will be deducted from your account after opening it.

 Necessary Documents Required For The Scheme -  

·       - Child’s birth certificate
·       - Parent or legal guardian’s identity proof
·       - Proof of address of parent or legal guardian.

As per RBI guidelines, rules and regulations, NRIs cannot apply for this scheme. As Sukanya Devi scheme is regulated by Post Office Savings Account Rules 1981. NRIs, therefore, do not come under this category.
So, we must follow these steps and get a girl attain her right by helping her out to get proper education.

Success Story- 2 ‘Udaan’ – a campaign to ensure that all girls in Chittorgarh are enrolled in schools by June 2018.

In January 2017, the administration of  Chittorgarh  launched ‘Udaan’ – a campaign to ensure that all girls in the district are enrolled in schools by June 2018 . Under the campaign, a door-to-door survey of girls in the district was conducted at the village level, and a database was prepared to connect them with education.
